About Annice

Everyone has a story to tell.  Here’s mine.

FYI, If you want to find out about my degrees, where I went to school, all the great jobs I‘ve had, the countries I’ve worked in, my awards, please go to my LinkedIn profile.  I’d rather tell you how I became a small business entrepreneurial coach and strategist.

I spent most of my career working in Washington, DC.

After 20 years, I moved to the mountains in Asheville, North Carolina.  I was so lucky to land a job with the university where I had the privilege of consulting with small and medium size businesses. I’d like to say, I’ve seen it all when it comes to starting or expanding a business, but honestly, entrepreneurs still surprise me.

If you’re asking how that job made me a good entrepreneurial coach?

Let me just say that I’ve logged over 15,000 hours over the last 20 years working on everything from business plans, financial projections, strategic planning, marketing, and even creating self-care self programs. I’ve had amazing results with my clients watching them scale-up, win national awards, increase revenue, export products, and create jobs.  Oh, I’ve seen failures, too – oh yeah!  Not everyone should be in business, and I’ll stop there.

So now, I’m in business for myself, and I can say it’s probably in my DNA.

I come from a long line of small business owners, going back hundreds of years.  No joke, and that includes sister, brother, cousins, aunts and uncles, parents, grandparents, great grandparents and beyond.  After I left my job at the university, former clients began contacting me and asking for help.  So, I decided to hang out my shingle and share my know-how with you. When I’m not working with clients, I’m writing. That’s my other passion.  I’m about to finish a young adult novel, and hope to get an agent soon.  When I’m not reading and writing, I’m going to yoga, hiking with my dogs, and hanging out with friends.  P.S. I’m a 7 on the Enneagram, THE ENTHUSIAST, and that’s what I’ll share with you.
